In addition to its transplant program, other surgical and medical services are available at ISMETT when transplantation does not represent the most indicated therapy. Such options include liver resections, hepatic, biliary and pancreatic surgery, thermal ablation, complex interventional radiology (hepatic chemotherapy, correction of portal hypertension), and interventional endoscopy.

Due to their complexity only a few specialized centers in Italy perform these procedures.
