ISMETT was granted the C.O.N. to perform pancreas transplants, indicated for type-1 diabetes mellitus patients and that can be performed combined with kidney transplantation in patients suffering renal failure and on dialysis. Medical consults and lab tests are offered to patients with type-1 diabetes in order to include them on ISMETT's waiting list.
