The Fellowship is a full-time two-year work contract and provides for an initial evaluation upon admission followed by periodic evaluations.

The abdominal Transplantation and Abdominal Surgery Fellow, under the supervision of the Director of the Abdominal Surgery and Transplantation Department, will participate in the care of, but not limited to, organ transplant patients. S/he will also cooperate with other physicians in the Istituto’s clinical activities.

Requirements:
• Degree in Medicine and Surgery or equivalent foreign university title;
• Postgraduate specialty in General Surgery, or equivalent tile (recognized in Italy or EU countries), achieved within this year;
• Post-graduate seniority not exceeding 4 years.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the care of general surgery patients and management of unit and ICU complications, as well as in the pre- and post-operative care of transplant patients. S/he will also have good English proficiency, strong inclination for scientific and research activities, and knowledge of main computer applications. Availability to be on-call during nights and holidays.

• Broad experience in general surgery;
• Case-based experience in liver, kidney and pancreas transplantation;
• Publication in national/international scientific journals;
