ISMETT and the Regional Health Care Commission have promoted a feasibility study on a computer network to link regional health care providers. The study is part of the Regional Commission Presidency program and has received approval from the Department of Economy and Finance and the Interdepartmental Committee for Economic Planning (CIPE).

The feasibility study on "Tele-transmission of Medical Data in the Region of Sicily - Creating a Computer Network to Link Regional Health Care Providers" received €464,811 in financing from CIPE.

In accordance with Decree n.158/S5, Presidential Decree of 9/17/2003, the Region of Sicily Presidency Programming Department, Infrastructural Interventions Service Unit III, has granted the Feasibility Study a consistency certification, thus allowing for its inclusion among the priorities of the regional planning activity.
