The initiative is coordinated in Sicily by IRCCS ISMETT, a center of excellence member of the Italian Network of Cardiovascular IRCCSs.<\/p>\n<p>The project will transform primary cardiovascular prevention by developing new predictive models. Bringing together Italy&#8217;s leading Scientific Institutes for Research, Hospitalisation and Healthcare (IRCCS), CVRisk-IT will integrate clinical, biological and lifestyle data to identify cardiovascular risk with unprecedented accuracy.<\/p>\n<p>Within this national network, ISMETT serves as the coordinating center for Sicily and will recruit approximately 1,200 participants.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The launch of CVRisk-IT in Sicily marks an important milestone for our region,&#8221; said <strong>Manlio Cipriani<strong>, Head of ISMETT&#8217;s Cardiology Service and Scientific Coordinator of the project. &#8220;Through this study, we are not only offering citizens a free opportunity to undergo advanced cardiovascular assessment, but also collecting valuable data that will help us develop increasingly personalized precision medicine. Our goal is to move from a one-size-fits-all approach to prevention towards targeted strategies capable of identifying cardiovascular risk before disease develops, ultimately improving patients&#8217; quality of life.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The program is open to healthy adults between 40 and 80 years of age with no history of cardiovascular disease or diabetes. Participation is entirely voluntary and free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>Participants will undergo:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a comprehensive cardiovascular evaluation;\n<li>\n<li>a blood sample to analyze biomarkers associated with cardiovascular risk;<\/li>\n<li>long-term follow-up to monitor health status and evaluate the effectiveness of the preventive models.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The model is based on a network of regional &#8220;spoke&#8221; centers, ensuring accessibility and equal participation throughout the community. &#8220;Participation to the study is completely free and offers citizens an opportunity to contribute to research and to the development of new evidence-based prevention models,&#8221; said Lorenzo Menicanti, President of the Italian Network of Cardiovascular
