The goal of the research is to assess the effectiveness and efficacy of diagnostic and therapeutic (medical, surgical and/or minimally invasive and/or robotic) techniques applied to chronic and/or degenerative inflammatory pathological forms of end-stage organ failure affecting the hepatobiliary system and the pancreas.

Main areas of research:

• Innovative techniques for treatment of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases responsible for organ failure, and post-transplant biliary complications.
• Definition of new biological-molecular parameters for pre-operative diagnostic and prognostic classification of hepatic and pancreatic tumors.
