The goal of the research is to assess the effectiveness and efficacy of diagnostic and therapeutic, medical, surgical and/or minimally-invasive interventional and/or robotic techniques applied to diseases causing end-stage organ failure affecting the cardiovascular system and the lungs. Development of precision medicine models obtained with computer applications designed for complex laboratory and instrumental data analysis, management of patients with severe cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases.
The research line focuses on the following areas:
- Innovative therapeutic techniques for cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases responsible for organ failure.
- Technologies as bridge to heart and lung transplant.
- Development of precision medicine models to manage patients with severe cardiac and pulmonary diseases and reduce their hospital stay.
