A pediatric endoscopy program is active at ISMETT.  Endoscopic procedures are performed on pediatric patients including ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), EUS (echo-ultrasound), and traditional diagnostic endoscopy. In patients aged only a few months, many of these procedures are performed under general anesthesia with the support of a dedicated anesthesia team.

Over the last three years, ISMETT has performed over 700 diagnostic and interventional pediatric endoscopy procedures in patients younger than 5 years.
