At ISMETT-UPMC, diagnosis and, if required, treatment are offered through the Italian National Health Service (NHS) to patients with the following conditions:
- End-stage organ failure eligible for adult or pediatric transplantation (lung, heart, liver, and kidney).
- Solid organ cancer (lung, liver and biliary tract, pancreas) requiring adult or pediatric major surgery.
- Complex conditions requiring highly specialized cardiac, abdominal, thoracic, and pediatric surgery.
- Medical conditions requiring advanced cardiac, radiology, and endoscopy interventional surgery.
- Pediatric , liver, biliary, and pancreatic diseases, including rare, metabolic, nutritional, infectious, congenital, and autoimmune liver disorders.
To know if your condition can be treated at ISMETT-UPMC, email the following documentation to primevisite@ismett.edu:
- Medical documentation related to your condition (medical and imaging reports, and lab tests).
- Referral for a specialist consult issued through the Italian NHS (please specify the relevant medical specialty).
- Your telephone contact details.
After reviewing your documents, if your condition falls within those treated at ISMETT-UPMC we will contact you to schedule a first consult.
