IRCCS ISMETT offers a comprehensive Clinical and Interventional Electrophysiology Program dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac rhythm disorders. The Program encompasses the following areas of expertise:

  • Diagnosis and treatment of inherited and acquired arrhythmogenic heart diseases.
  • Implantation of loop recorders.
  • Implantation of transvenous and leadless pacemakers.
  • Implantation of transvenous, subcutaneous, and extravascular implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).
  • Implantation of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices.
  • Implantation of cardiac contractility modulation (CCM) devices.
  • Assessment of ventricular vulnerability.
  • Invasive electrophysiological studies.
  • Catheter ablation of simple and complex supraventricular arrhythmias.
  • Endocardial and hybrid ablation of atrial fibrillation.
  • Ganglionated plexi ablation for the advanced treatment of syncope (cardioneuroablation).
  • Endocardial and epicardial ablation of ventricular arrhythmias, with external hemodynamic support when indicated.
  • Management of ventricular arrhythmic storm.
