Dott.ssa Di Benedetto Cinzia

Dr. Cinzia Di Benedetto is Director of Health Care Activities of IRCCS ISMETT in Palermo since February 1, 2019.

Specialized in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine, Dr. Di Benedetto completed her training with highest honors. Her career focused on healthcare leadership, patient safety, and organizational innovation.

At IRCCS ISMETT she served as a staff physician and interim Director of Health Care Activities. With a forward-looking approach to healthcare, she has led major nationally recognized initiatives, including an enterobacteria containment system that received the 2015 JCI Quality Award, and digital solutions for healthcare expenditure monitoring that received the Sa@lute Innovation Award in both 2016 and 2017.

Her professional expertise is complemented by an ongoing commitment to research and education. She has pursued training in change management, coaching, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies applied to healthcare, and regularly participates as a speaker and moderator at leading Italian healthcare conferences. She has authored numerous scientific publications and posters, with a particular focus on the prevention of HAI infections and health management in transplant recipients.

In addition to her strategic leadership responsibilities, Dr. Di Benedetto is listed in the Italian National Register of Occupational Physicians. She also has extensive experience in academic teaching and mentoring, contributing to the education and professional development of future generations of healthcare professionals.
